Abstract : In this paper, we present a robust watermarking technique that uses the wavelet based hard thresholding concept for image denoising to determine the wavelet coefficients to be watermarked. A multi-bit watermark is embedded into the discrete wavelet coefficients of a still image. A corresponding blind watermark extraction algorithm is proposed. The proposed method is compared with other multiresolution watermarking methods. The simulation results show that the proposed method provides better performance under most attacks including JPEG compression.
