Abstract : In this paper, we consider the problem of tracking an object which moves along a certain 2-dimensional area monitored by a network of wireless sensors. We propose a novel decision fusion algorithm for target tracking based on a recently proposed sequential Monte Carlo (SMC) methodology called cost-reference particle filtering (CRPF). Computer simulations reveal the feasibility of the proposed method.
