Abstract : We introduce a low complexity method for noise reduction in mobile received analog TV signals. The two classes Gauss weighting filter is smoothing images while preserving image details and motion regions. This approach classifies neighboring image samples either as an edge or non-edge sample. Only image samples which belong to non-edge samples are used for noise reduction. Image samples which belong to edges are excluded from filtering.
